Samsung PN50C680 Plasma Television Review

It’s back to the Samsung pile to get us today’s dose of plasma fun, and we’ve got another great one in the form of the Samsung PN50C680. We’ve had a lot of good Samsungs, and thankfully, this one will match up.

The Samsung PN50C680 is a fifty inch 1080p plasma television that offers two ten watt speakers with SRS TruSurround, a game mode for improved image quality in high-speed video situations, Samsung’s Touch of Color for an extra aesthetic push, BD Wise systems, ConnectShare to access those USB drives through the television, Anynet Plus, four HDMI inputs, a USB port, a PC input, two component inputs, a headphone jack, two composite inputs and a digital audio output.

The display looks great–fifty inch 1080p is hard to do much else but look great–and the sound is also pretty nice at that. Once again SRS TruSurround shows up and gives everything a sorely needed shot in the arm. And also, you’ll get a nice mix here between support for old and new components. It’s a very nicely put together package overall, and that should get your interest.

What will clearly keep that interest, however, is that two places are selling these for under a thousand bucks each, and that’s an excellent price for a high quality piece of hardware like this.

The Samsung PN50C680 is big, looks great, sounds great and is priced right, so if you’re looking for a new television to cap off your home theater, give this one a second look.

Samsung has offered up plenty of televisions in all subclasses, so it’s always worth taking a look at them. You never know when you’ll be out looking at televisions, find a Samsung, and want to know if it’s worth your time. That’s why we’re looking at the Samsung LN46C600, an LCD that will have plenty to offer and do so at a good price, to boot.

The Samsung LN46C600 is a forty six inch 1080p LCD television that offers a 120 Hz refresh rate to reduce blurring in high speed images, the Wide Color Enhancer systems to improve color presentation, BD Wise to automatically adjust the relevant settings on your peripherals to get the best possible image out of them, two ten watt speakers, ConnectShare Movie to access content on thumb drives and digital cameras directly, four HDMI ports, two component inputs and one PC input.

Again, we’re short on the basics here–we’ve got a great picture and somewhat weaker sound quality (you’ll note there are plenty of augmentations to the picture but not near so much to the speakers), and you’ll get more than enough ports for your various needs, whether you need newer ports or old. Get this thing hooked up to even the most rudimentary of home theater speaker systems and you should be doing just fine here.

It’s a little hard to look at a television that doesn’t offer the next generation of capability, no streaming here at all, but it will still do a nice job of providing your current needs, whether they be older or newer, just not the very newest.

And you’ll even be able to find this one at a pretty nice price–in two different places you can find this at seven hundred ninety seven dollars, and that’s not a terrible price for a television slightly larger than the smallest of the big screens.

The Samsung LN46C600 isn’t the best you’ll find, but it will do a pretty nice job with most anything you’ll need it for. It’s surprisingly impressive for a smaller large television, and it will definitely put a punch in your home theater system.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 To Announce at MWC 2011

Rumours are flying here and there about the samsung galaxy tab 2.The most hearing rumour is that Samsung will unveil their Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 in MWC (Mobile World Congress). According to some rumour galaxy Tab 2 will be powered by Nvidia Tegra 2 processor for running Android 2.3 Honeycomb OS.



The tablet being talked about is the APAD IMX515 G10 and, if you haven’t yet guessed it right, it has its origin in China. However, this time, it’s not a pure cloning job in that the APAD sports a 10 inch display whereas the original Galaxy Tab is well known with its 7 inch touch screen interface. Everything else though bears a striking similarity with the Galaxy Tab. For instance, there is the same angular and rounded edges, the same layout of the characteristic Android buttons with even the buttons too looking exactly the same with the only exception being that of the home button that sports a different design.



However, the similarities and all the talk of cloning dissipates once you penetrate the skin. For beneath the outer familiar (plasticity) shell reveals an altogether different story. The processor is a less powerful 800MHz Freescale i.MX515 chip mated to a 512MB RAM while on board storage amounts to 4GB. However, there also exists a few similarities as well, like the APAD also runs the Android 2.2 Froyo, while on-screen resolution is also the same at 1024 x 600 pixels. However, the display quality can’t be expected to be the same as the APAD is all of 10 inches in comparison to the Galaxy Tab’s 7 inch display. Price, as is known until now, will be below the $200 dollar mark and will begin shipping in the domestic market before it makes its international foray.



Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 would be announce at MWC but it will be release in Q2 2011. Signs of a successor had already imagined and in America the price of the Tab has declined in recent days. The Galaxy Tab 2 will be released on various world markets at a price similar to Galaxy Tab 1.

Samsung UN46C6500 Television Review–Worth A Second Look

We end out our coverage of big and amazing LED televisions for this week with a look at the Samsung UN46C6500, and it’ll be one more you want to add to your list if you’re looking for a new television. Not necessarily because it’s bigger than many of the pieces you’ll find out there, but because it does a nice job of putting up its images. It’s not the best by a long shot but it will do a nice job with the exhibition.

The Samsung UN46C6500 is a forty six inch 1080p LED television running at 120 hertz for reduced blurring with high speed images. You’ll also get ConnectShare Movie to play images and video off of a USB drive or from a digital camera, Smart TV for internet access to the wide variety of content available therein, a game mode to improve the picture at high speeds, two ten watt speakers, four HDMI ports, Anynet Plus capability, two USB prots, one component video, a PC input and an ethernet port.

Now, there will be a lot of mixed feelings here. There are plenty of connections for newer components, but not near so many for the older ones. The sound quality will not do near so well as the picture does. There’s an up side for every down here, and that makes it difficult to recommend fully.

It’s certainly one you’ll want to see for yourself, to see if you feel differently. Especially if you have plenty of newer components. You can actually find this on Circuit City’s website for twelve hundred dollars, which is a pretty good price for a fairly large LED television.

Is the Samsung UN46C6500 the best LED television you’ll find? Far from it. Is it the worst? Not hardly. Is it worth taking a second look at? Indeed. So if you’re in the market for a new television, consider the Samsung UN46C6500.

Samsung UN46C7000 Television Review–Decent if Underwhelming Value

Samsung has often given me a lot of strange times with televisions–while they’re often beautiful in their construction, their application is sometimes less than optimal. But the Samsung UN46C7000 will do at least a fair job of putting out a good quality value, even if it doesn’t always stack up against some.

The Samsung UN46C7000 is a forty six inch 1080p LED television operating at 240 hertz for reduced blurring of high speed images. It’s 3D ready when you get the necessary components to go along with it, and also includes Smart TV for access to the web and its huge variety of content, plus a game mode to further improve picture quality, wide color enhancer systems, Energy Star 4.0, two ten watt speakers, Skype on Samsung (lets you use your television like a video phone), a pair of rechargeable 3D glasses, Anynet Plus, four HDMI inputs, two USB ports, one PC input, one component input, one optical sound output and one Ethernet jack.

First off, the picture is really nice here, which should be expected from a 1080p LED. The sound is fair, if not particularly outstanding (ten watts with no augmentation only goes so far), and I’m a little disappointed by the amount of non-HTML connection you get here, but I’ll live. But considering that the Samsung UN46C7000 is actually priced comparably with yesterday’s coverage of the LG 55LX6500–Samsung’s model weighs in at seventeen hundred bucks out at Amazon–I’m profoundly disappointed.

The Samsung UN46C7000 isn’t really a bad television, it just doesn’t compare well to other models. If you got one for Christmas you likely wouldn’t throw it out, but if you’re shopping for one, you can do better.

New Samsung Wireless Printers Coming Next Month

Samsung has announced that its two new wireless printers will be coming next month with new polymerized chemical toner technologies. The CLP-325P and CLX-318FW will both support printing up to 17 pages per minute in black and white and 4 pages per minute in color mode. Users can choose either 1K or 1.5K yield toner cartridge, which supports the company's polymerized chemical toner that's said to offer a 35 percent savings in electricity while delivering more durable prints with less image deterioration over time. Easy network support is also a benefit of the models as they can connect to a user's home WiFi network for wireless printing. The CLP325P is a more basic printer, priced at $200, while the CLX-318FW is more of an office all-in-one solution that can copy, scan, and fax with a built-in LCD screen for navigating through the menus and options; the CLX-318FW will bepriced at $400.

Samsung D8000 Tv's review 2011

Samsung has announced two new premium models in its 2011 range due mid-year: the D7000 and the D8000. These TVs form part of the company's smart TV line-up with web access and search, video-on-demand and DLNA streaming available as standard.

Being the ultimate TV in Samsung's range, the D8000 also features 3D, but it's the active kind and not passive like LG's LW6500. Unlike last year's C8000, the glasses are much less like welding goggles and actually quite slim. They can also be supplemented with a wireless charging stand.

The Series 8 LED TV features Samsung's Touch Control TV remote that can also stream TV programs to its built-in 3-inch LCD screen, in a similar way to last year's C9000 remote.

These models also sport an eye for elegance. The D8000 boasts what Samsung calls a 0.2 inch bezel, which also comes with a clear plastic "frame". Samsung's aim was to create a TV that blends with its surroundings.

The D8000 will be available in the coming months. While Samsung says this is the flagship model, pricing won't compete with a 10 grand price tag of last year's premium TV.

Samsung USB 3.0 External Hard Drives review

Samsung offers three hard drives (hard disk) recently, where two of them is a portable external drive, while another external hard drive for desktop. The three latest Samsung hard drive is already using a USB 3.0 port, which is claimed to provide data transfer speeds up to 5 GB per second. For premium portable drives, Samsung offers a capacity of 1 TB, with a base of 256-bit encryption. Hard disk has been able to make back-up automatically, which also held a back-up software for data encryption.

Meanwhile, for ‘portable external drive’ would be present with a capacity of more than 1 TB. Interestingly, the casing coated with a material that is not easily soiled by fingerprints or scratches. This device will be marketed with a choice of 4 colors: black brown, beige noble, clay orange, and gray mist. Here also, there is completeness ‘dock’ USB, which will launch the process of transfer device with a PC.

Now switch to the ‘desktop external drives’, which this device will come with storage capacity of 1 TB, 1.5 TB and 2 TB. Casing storage media is designed to save space when attached to the desktop. And, also equipped with LED indicator lights. Later, this device will be available in a choice of black and brown and beige Noble.

Unfortunately, the Samsung has not announced the official price of this new external hard drive. Even so, Samsung plans to launch a new hard drive in April.

Samsung Gloria could be the future of the Korean tablet. The design could incorporate a physical slide keyboard and the Windows 7 operating system. The availability is scheduled for April 2011.

The age of the Samsung Galaxy Tab is already over? Not really, the number of 7-inch tablets or diagonal not go down below, at least in the short, thanks to their capabilities, Android operating system and the possibility of cross media functions to the mobile phone.
